It’s Sooooo Classic!

I like classic books. It’s among my favorite genres. I don’t think I would have ever gotten into them if it weren’t for literature class. šŸ˜› So shout-out to my literature teacher!! You’re the best, ma’am. šŸ™‚

Why am I bringing this up? Well, because classics are cool, of course! But also because. . . .

It’s a party!

Basically… I’m Running Out of Ideas

Looking back on all my previous posts, it’s clear that I have had a lot of fun talking about things and interacting with friends and fellow bloggers. But it’s also clear that. . .

I had no idea what I was doing.

And I still have no idea what I’m doing.

Book Binder Poetry {Dekreel Edition}

I’ve always been a big fan of poetry and beautiful prose in general, and Evelyn’s blog post on what she calls “book binder” poetry is a great example of raw literary aesthetic. I knew immediately that I wanted to follow suit (besides, it looked like SO MUCH FUN.) So I stole drew inspiration from her idea, grabbed a couple armfuls of books from various shelves and tried my hand at composing book binder poetry of my own.

If y’all haven’t read her post on this unique genre of poetry, I highly suggest checking it out. She’s an amazing poet and she did a wonderful job. šŸ™‚

Let’s get started! *rubs paws*

Seven-Questions Book Tag

Today I’m excited to pass on another tag! Unlike the first two book-related tags I did, this one I didn’t snatch without permission. šŸ˜› Thanks, Emma, for nominating me!! Y’all go check out her blog (Seven Billion Smiles); she and her sister do some really awesome stuff there. šŸ˜‰

The rules are pretty straight forward. Thank the tagger, answer the questions, nominate some more peeps and give them new questions, the usual. šŸ™‚

“WAIT WHY IS DEKREEL POSTING ON NOT-SATURDAY WHAT IN THE EVEN”

To answer your question, dear Hunters, I have been on a writing spree lately — to the point where there are now blog posts lined up for every Saturday in August plus one in September. I don’t really want to get too ahead of myself as I feel like that’s kind of impersonal. I want to be able to write posts about the time of year, and what’s going on in my life currently. So my best choice is to squeeze my posts closer together in time so that we have two posts a week. Once I’m not on a spree anymore I’ll go back to just one post a week on Saturdays. šŸ™‚

That being said, let’s get to the point of this post, shall we? šŸ˜€

I enjoyed conducting the last interview so much that I knew I had to do another one. Thus, today I’m pleased to welcome artist, writer and fellow Aetherlighter, Miss Stan Duckshoe of CatClack Studios!!

Dreams I’ve Had (‘Cuz Why Not)

A couple posts ago I talked about autism and some of the symptoms that come from it. One other symptom that I didn’t mention, and that I experience, is the lack of feeling the need to go to sleep. This has resulted in an unhealthy amount of all-nighters for both me and my sister.

Because of this prolonged insomnia, I have had to resort to a wonderful little tool called melatonin. Generally it works very well! I take a gummy or two of it before bed, and before long I can’t keep my eyes open. It’s great.
