Hello. I realize it’s been a while since I’ve done a tag, and I have no other ideas for what to blog about anyways, so here’s another tag for you guys!
1) What is your favorite book(s) of all time?
How many times have I brought up this series on my blog at this point?
The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson. So quirky and adventure-packed and heartfelt and just, AAUGH. I love everything about it.
2) What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to people handling books?
I don’t have any specific things that push me off the edge, just. . . I dunno, disrespecting the book in general. Folding the pages, leaving crumbs or grease on them, etc.
3) In your opinion, how big does a book have to be for you to be intimidated to read it?
Thickness can be a little bit off-putting for me, but if I hear the book is good then eventually I’ll pick it up. What usually gets me concerned is chapter length. I try not to put down a book when I’m not done with a chapter, or I’ll feel more lost when I come back to it. So books with long chapters make me nervous. It’s the reason I’m only halfway through Fellowship of the Ring and I started it, like, almost a year ago. It’s a great book, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t have the mental energy to read forty pages of information at a time!
4) What’s your favorite book format? (Paperback, Hardcover, Ebook, Audiobook, etc.)
Not audiobooks. I can’t pay attention to them. 😛
I guess hardcovers since they’re more. . . booky. IDK. Paperbacks are a close second. Ebooks are for when I have no other choice.
5) What are the first things you do when you pick up a book?
For the first time? Turn it over and read the blurb on the back. Every time. I do it with movies too.
Oh, that’s it? All right then, those are good questions!
I tag anyone who wants to do this tag. Just copy the questions above. 😉 Have fun!
P.S. Sorry for the short-ish post. I wrote this last second (on Friday evening) so I could have something for Saturday. I hope to write more on this blog in the coming weeks. I have someone keeping my semi-accountable now so hopefully that will work out.
