Dreams I’ve Had (‘Cuz Why Not)

A couple posts ago I talked about autism and some of the symptoms that come from it. One other symptom that I didn’t mention, and that I experience, is the lack of feeling the need to go to sleep. This has resulted in an unhealthy amount of all-nighters for both me and my sister.

Because of this prolonged insomnia, I have had to resort to a wonderful little tool called melatonin. Generally it works very well! I take a gummy or two of it before bed, and before long I can’t keep my eyes open. It’s great.

~~Interview~~ Emily Millennium

She’s a writer, she’s an artist, she’s an all-around awesome and God-fearing young lady, and she’s an avid Star Wars fan. Today, it’s my honor to introduce you to my friend and fellow blogger, Emily Millennium of “The Ink-Stained Desk”!! (Also known among Aetherlighters as Emily Purplebottle. πŸ™‚ ) My questions and comments will be in boldface, and Emily’s answers will be italicized.

~~Autism~~ How it Works & What it’s Like

Howdy, Hunters! Today I have a topic I’d like to talk about that I thought would be interesting: ASD. I inherited it from my dad, and was diagnosed when I was little. So I’m going to talk about what it’s like being “on the spectrum”, as well as talk through some of the symptoms.

But first, let me educate you a little bit! *throws on cliche schoolteacher outfit and produces a chalkboard from thin air*

The Imaginary Assistant Tag

Sometimes I think I need someone to smack my phone out of my hand, drag me off the couch, tie me to a chair and force me to face my responsibilities. Fortunately Evelyn and Jenna were kind enough to shoot me an application for an imaginary assistant that can do exactly that. I highly appreciate that, girls, thank you.

Without further ado!

Mid-Year Book Freak-Out Tag

Heyo, Hunters! Today I’m snatching up another reading-themed tag, this time from my friend Jane Maree. I didn’t know I liked book tags so much. X’D Live and learn.

According to the apparent originator of the tag, I’m supposed to “do the obligatory side-eye at the fact it is June and [you] don’t recall expressly giving permission for that to happen”. Well all right then.

~~Vacation Bible School~~ Fun Tales Thereof

After two straight weeks of silence, I think it’s time to resurrect this blog, am I right? I’m so sorry for not posting anything! I’ve been feeling especially anxious and insecure these past few weeks. You’d think the amazing comments in the last article would have cheered me up. . . πŸ˜›

In all seriousness, thank you guys so much for your encouragement and support. Even if I didn’t reply to all of them, I really appreciated it. I’ll try to post more often in the future (it helps that I’m doing Camp NaNo πŸ™‚ ).

~~Making a Difference~~ My Struggles as an Insecure Blogger

Hullo, Hunters! Enjoying summer break so far? I hope so; I’m doing school all summer long. Consider yourself fortunate. πŸ˜‰ (And if you’re doing school over the summer too, I respect that. And you’re not alone. XD )

So today’s post is going to be. . . quite different. Why? Because I’m going to do something courageous and possibly foolish that I might regret later. . . I’m going to be honest and transparent. There’s something going on with me that I feel compelled to share with you. . . not so people pity me or “pet” me, but because. . . I dunno. I like pouring out my heart. Sometimes I think I’m abnormally transparent.

~~ NEW TAG!! ~~ Sage Advice

It’s possible I’m the only one who does this, but you know those little pieces of advice you tell your brain to remember after you’ve made a mistake, but then you always forget them in the end? Are you tired of allowing them to slip your mind? So am I!! So let us take a stand. Let us exercise our brains and combat our forgetfulness!

Today, I present to you. . . . .

The Versatile Blogger Award

Yayyyyyy, another taaaag. . . I do hope you aren’t tired of me doing tag posts, because they’re pretty much the easiest type of post for me. πŸ˜›

Before I begin. . . what do you guys think of my new website makeover?

I wanted something a bit brighter and more cheerful, and something that would go with the title pictures better. Are the title pictures okay, by the way? Do you like them on my blog?

~~Book Review~~ Harry Potter

*cringes under all the cold glares*

Yes, yes, yes, I am completely aware that I ought to be ashamed of myself for reading the Harry Potter books. And I honestly am a little bit; I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

In any case, they turned out to be pretty review-worthy, so here we are. (Please don’t kill me. . .)

Sorry this post is late, by the way! I was hoping I could get it done on time but. . . life happened. πŸ˜›
