~~Interview~~ A.N. Parker

Greetings, one and all! Hope you’re having a fine weekend. I sure am!

(At least I better be. I’m writing this on Wednesday, so for all I know I could be having an absolutely horrible weekend. But anyway. . .)

I had the privilege to interview one of my closest internet friends. She’s a writer, public speaker, entrepreneur and fellow blogger. Her name is A.N. Parker of Tales of the Spiral! (Also known as Nola Applequill among Aethasians and Aurora Parker among pirates.)

~~Story Time With Dekreel~~

I’m not very huge on writing.

I’ve written enough, and hung out with other writers enough, to understand the pain of writer’s block, the despair of killing a character you like, the frustration of editing, etc., but I’ve never gotten far enough to experience most of these things myself.

Today, I came closer to being a passionate writer than I have in a long time.

~~That Time When I Was a Songmaiden~~ Blast From the Past, Part 4

That’s right, it’s another Blast From the Past edition!! šŸ˜€ This post is a blast from the blast in itself — the first three are over five months old at this point. Those were the days. šŸ˜›

Book Binder Poetry {Dekreel Edition}

I’ve always been a big fan of poetry and beautiful prose in general, and Evelyn’s blog post on what she calls “book binder” poetry is a great example of raw literary aesthetic. I knew immediately that I wanted to follow suit (besides, it looked like SO MUCH FUN.) So I stole drew inspiration from her idea, grabbed a couple armfuls of books from various shelves and tried my hand at composing book binder poetry of my own.

If y’all haven’t read her post on this unique genre of poetry, I highly suggest checking it out. She’s an amazing poet and she did a wonderful job. šŸ™‚

Let’s get started! *rubs paws*

“WAIT WHY IS DEKREEL POSTING ON NOT-SATURDAY WHAT IN THE EVEN”

To answer your question, dear Hunters, I have been on a writing spree lately — to the point where there are now blog posts lined up for every Saturday in August plus one in September. I don’t really want to get too ahead of myself as I feel like that’s kind of impersonal. I want to be able to write posts about the time of year, and what’s going on in my life currently. So my best choice is to squeeze my posts closer together in time so that we have two posts a week. Once I’m not on a spree anymore I’ll go back to just one post a week on Saturdays. šŸ™‚

That being said, let’s get to the point of this post, shall we? šŸ˜€

I enjoyed conducting the last interview so much that I knew I had to do another one. Thus, today I’m pleased to welcome artist, writer and fellow Aetherlighter, Miss Stan Duckshoe of CatClack Studios!!

~~Interview~~ Emily Millennium

She’s a writer, she’s an artist, she’s an all-around awesome and God-fearing young lady, and she’s an avid Star Wars fan. Today, it’s my honor to introduce you to my friend and fellow blogger, Emily Millennium of “The Ink-Stained Desk”!! (Also known among Aetherlighters as Emily Purplebottle. šŸ™‚ ) My questions and comments will be in boldface, and Emily’s answers will be italicized.
